Chablis, located in Burgundy, France, is the source of the most racy, light, and tactile, yet uniquely complex Chardonnay, Chablis, while considered part of burgundy. Champagne and Chablis have a unique soil type in common called Kimmeridgian, which isn't found anywhere in the world except for Southern England. a 180 million year-old-geological formation of decomposed clay and limestone, containing tiny, fossilized, oyster shells. The soil type produces wines full of structure, austerity, minerality, salinity, and finesse.
Notes in this wine include citrus (citrus, lemon, lime), tree fruit (green apple, apple, pear), earthy notes (minerals, honey, stone).
A very crisp and refreshing wine. Uncomplicated Chablis. A dry, still white. 12.5% abv. Well balanced, clean, and light to medium-bodied.
Overall a delicious, yet basic wine.
Cheers! 🍷
